Mongolia – Suspension of mail exchanges with Korea (Rep.)

25 February, 2020

The designated operator of Mongolia, Mongol Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to the outbreak and rapid spread of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), the competent authorities of Mongolia have suspended all flights to/from Seoul and Busan (Korea (Rep.)) until 2 March 2020.

The processing of all inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) originating in and destined for Korea (Rep.) is currently suspended as a result.

Mongol Post is continuing to receive and dispatch mail from and to other countries and processing it following sanitary treatment.

Mongol Post thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding. It will update them via EmIS once the situation has returned to normal.
