Canada – Update on strike

13 December, 2018

Canada Post asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators regarding the ongoing negotiations with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW).

The embargo on mail items arriving from designated operators was lifted on Tuesday, 27 November. With reduced international volumes and continued work in partnership with the Canada Border Services Agency, Canada Post expects to be current on International items in January.

As a reminder, designated operators were notified and are asked to resume sending of all mails (EMS, Parcels, Exprès - Tracked Packet and LC/AO) to Canada.

Canada Post thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their patience and understanding over the past few weeks.
