Bahamas – Delays in postal operations

10 July, 2018

The designated operator of the Bahamas asks us to inform the designated operators of UPU member countries that it is currently experiencing delays in the shipping, processing and delivery of all mail items as a result of persistent electrical and air conditioning malfunctions at the BSNASA exchange office. The problem is expected to be resolved within two weeks.

Partners will assist delivery by ensuring that senders include phone numbers, post-office box numbers and e-mail addresses (wherever possible) on all registered packets, parcels and EMS items.

The designated operator of the Bahamas thanks other designated operators for their understanding and will inform them once the situation has returned to normal.
